The availability of free local “Over the Air” antenna channels, varies greatly in hilly, rural areas like Somerset County.

Depending on your exact location,  it’s entirely possible that you may only receive three or four 4 OTA channels, while your neighbor – 500 or 1,000 feet away – may receive 30 or more. Short of an on-site test, there is no way to accurately see exactly what channels you will receive with an OTA antenna. While the online websites that predict reception are OK for a general reference, they are just that: predictors.

Our policy regarding OTA antenna sales is straightforward. Cash and carry sales are final. Should you want an antenna professionally installed, we will do a “soft install” first to demonstrate to you what you should expect to receive for channels. (Basically, a soft install means we drill no holes… we send a wire temporarily through a door or window, or connect to our little test TV in the truck.) If you like that demonstration, we finalize the install. If you can’t justify the expense of the amount of channels you will receive, we pack the antenna up, and present you with an invoice for the travel and the time on site spent testing.
